About Us
The Soul Project offers supportive, evidence-based psychological help for children, young people and families.
The practice is led by Thomai Kalafatidou, who has a background in social work, counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Thomai brings extensive experience working across the NHS, social care, specialist addiction services, and the charitable sector, supporting young people with a wide range of mental health challenges and working closely with families to provide joined-up, compassionate care.
Her experience also includes volunteering in hospital settings, where she has supported children undergoing cancer treatment and their families during incredibly challenging times.
The approach she uses is centred on creating a safe, calm, and supportive environment, where young people and families feel genuinely heard, understood, and valued. The focus is on building trust and helping each individual feel supported, empowered, and confident in moving forward.
A key part of the work is helping young people become their own therapists supporting them to understand their thoughts, manage their emotions, and develop lifelong skills that allow them to cope independently and confidently beyond therapy.
